NEW YORK, September 15, 2022 — The National Basketball Referees Association (NBRA) announced today that they have entered into a new collective bargaining agreement with the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The seven-year agreement will begin with the 2022–23 season and run through the 2028–29 season. Per league policy, terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.

“We are pleased with the outcome of the negotiations,” said Marc Davis, NBRA Executive Board Member. “The league has made clear that they value the contributions we make to the game’s integrity, and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship together. We are all excited to start the new season.”

The contract addressed salary, travel, pension, and marketing rights issues and was ratified by an overwhelming majority of the NBA referees.
